Battlelore have been making Tolkien inspired fantasy metal for years, but after a long break their latest release may be their greatest yet. The beautiful vocals are present as ever amid the growls, but they've really honed their songwriting craft at this stage. Truly epic stuff. The track Mirrormere is one of their most beautiful songs yet, and needs to be listened to. Wolfwatching Music

Of course they're from Sweden. Despite the clownish shtick of emulating pirates, YBP are truly talented and enjoyable. This album could easily be imagined as a swarthy storybook stage-play, perfectly fit for experiencing the night before all us godless heathens aire our worldly grievances on Festivus. To the depths of hell we all shall sail! Diogenes Grief

This record is a belter from the first track to the last one.
